The mainline near Gatwick has been reopened after a person was killed by a train this morning.
There were delays for much fo the morning and all Gatwick Express services were cancelled.
However, from early afternoon services have been returning to normal.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “Our officers were called to Horley rail station, on Thursday, 11 September to reports of a person hit by a train.
“Officers attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 8.23am, alongside colleagues from Surrey Police.
“Paramedics from the South Coast Ambulance Service also attended, and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“Officers are now working to investigate the full circumstances of the incident and inform the man’s family.”
