Surrey County Council's call for county to be included in Crossrail 2

A rallying cry has been sounded for people to support Surrey’s inclusion in Crossrail 2, the proposed high-frequency, high-capacity rail line connecting central London with areas to the North-east and South-west, which could have benefits across the region.

Thugs rob man of camcorder in Horley

A man on his way to have images developed off his camcorder in Horley was set on by two thugs who robbed him of it.

Anyone for tennis at Reigate's Gatton Park?

Gatton Park in Reigate will hold its next open day on Sunday, June 2, from 1pm to 5pm, when there will be traditional games played there, including croquet and lawn tennis. The gardens and grounds will be open to visitors to enjoy and take in the features, including a bird hide, a restored Victorian parterre at the centre of the estate, and restored rock and Japanese gardens, situated in the 250 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown-designed parkland.
